The images are meant to help illuminate your Camino /your path, by revealing mysteries that lie deep in your unconscious -as in your dreams. La Espiritu represents an energy you connect to – uniquely yours. It could be an ancestor, angel, fairy, animal spirit, beloved deceased, alien… whatever resonates with you as a Sacred guide you feel safe with and connected to.

Before you begin, write down a question for which you seek an answer too, a challenge or something you are struggling with and seek answers for. Breathe in and out a few times, and then look at the painting without analyzing what thoughts are coming your way. No judgement at all. Write everything down that you are thinking of, like a stream of consciousness. After you are finished writing down everything that comes to mind, you can put your story together.

Begin with the basic question:

How does the painting make you feel?

How do the colors make you feel?

What messages do the images bring to you?

Who do you think they are?

Are there any images that hold personal symbolism for you or reminders of events, people?

The most important meaning is the one that appears in your heart and mind

Look at the image as though you had made it yourself- your mind is creating the story for you and revealing it via your emotions and personal mythology. Take the time to see how the images begin to give themselves meaning, your mind will do this instantly, don’t question it, just write it down as it comes in a stream of consciousness, one thought leading to the next. Don’t worry about grammar or spelling – let it flow. Once you have finished writing free flow, look up the traditional meanings of symbols you have noticed (for example, if you noticed an owl- you may want to find out what an owl represents in animal totems or spirit animals).

Allow the images to reveal your own mystery as you open yourself to your unconscious by answering questions like:

What are you seeking?

What is your greatest fear?

What is your greatest asset? Who is showing up?

People from your past or present? What memories are coming up?

Is there a relationship(s) that is represented here?

What is your biggest hope and desire? Is it represented in this story?

What is the obstacle in your Camino/Path? What is hiding in plain sight?

What is the key that is available to help you move forward?

Who or what is showing up to help you on your path?

Enjoy and have fun! I hope this allows your creativity and your intuition to lead you into creative and spiritual/emotional epiphanies that allow you to expand and flow with ease as you journey on your Camino!
