Chicken Bone Broth – Inspired by Butterfly Maiden

Honoring Butterfly Maiden this week for openness and renewal! Goddess Butterfly Maiden is known in several native traditions throughout the Americas! Make time to eat well during this cold winter weekend by making Chicken Bone Broth!

Chicken Bone Broth Ingredients:

  • 2 Bay Leaves
  • 2 Carrots
  • 2 Celery
  • 3 Slices Red Chili Pepper
  • 1 handful Cilantro
  • 3 Garlic Cloves
  • 2 Slices Ginger
  • 1 Onion
  • 1 handful Parsley
  • 1 TBSP Fish Sauce
  • 1 Pinch Black Peppers, cracked
  • 1 TSP Salt
  • 2 TBSP Apple Cider Vinegar
  • Bones from 1 whole chicken (leave a little meat on the bone)
  • 9 Cups of Water

Directions:

  1. Use an instapot and place all ingredients in and stir until mixed together. Lock the lid and ensure that the release handle for the steam is pointing towards the sealing.
  2. Use the manual setting and adjust the timer to 130 minutes. The pressure cooker will start to build up the pressure after 3 beeps.
  3. Call on Butterfly Maiden while you wait to get help to open to a new and unknown phase with strength!
  4. Allow the pressure to release on it’s own once the timer goes off. This could take about 20 minutes.
  5. When the pressure has been released completely and the valve is down, you may open the lid and allow the broth to cool.
  6. Strain into a clean jar or bowl with a lid and store in the fridge or freezer until you are ready to enjoy with chicken soup or fresh vegetables! You may even enjoy served just as is!
