Honeysuckle Syrup Inspired by Rhiannon

The Welsh lunar goddess of birds and horses, faerie magick, and dreams, Rhiannon, fell in love with a king up in the Upperworld. She was forced to leave her world when she was wrongly accused for killing and eating her newborn son. She faced a great hardship when losing her son and during her imprisonment of living as a horse for seven years. She was able to face these hardships with patience and dignity. One day, a farmer accompanied by his wife was able to break the spell that hid Rhiannon’s baby and she was queen in the palace again.

Rhiannon is a goddess of love and fertility and gives powerful guidance to those that need it through powerful dreams. She guides those that have passed away to the Underworld without any fear as she sings her song with songbirds.

This Honeysuckle Syrup recipe can be made with patience and tranquility while calling on Rhiannon and listening to the birds in nature.
