Garlic Butter Quinoa Inspired by Mama Cocha

Incan Goddess Mama Cocha is the goddess of the oceans and is also known as Mama Qucha. She is well known in places where the ocean is a very necessary part of life, such as Ecuador, Peru, and Chile. She is called on and celebrated with ceremonies with coca flower offerings and fresh water to invite blessings from her for the harvests of both the land and the sea! She represents all elements of life-giving and feminine aspects and is known for bringing harmony and balance to Earth.

Mama Cocha was worshiped by the Incans as they looked to her as being the Divine Mother. As the Incans began to worship her, she gave them gifts of water and insight into where to plant the crops. We are calling on Mama Cocha while making this wonderful Quinoa recipe and accompanying it with a glass of water!
