Brigid

Goddess Brigid is a Celtic goddess and is one of the most celebrated and respected goddesses in the Pagan Irish pantheon. Her name means, exalted one, while her most ancient name, Breo-Saighead, means fiery power. Brigid is a solar goddess and carries the fire element with her. She is commonly shown with beams of light or often fire and flames coming from her head or hands. She was born with flames coming from her head, leading her to the cosmos.

Goddess Brigid was born to the goddess of fertility, Boann, and the earth god, Dagda. They were from the Tuatha De Danann, a tribe of gods that practiced magick. This tribe settled in Ireland after losing their western islands.
