Description
THIS LISTING IS FOR A REPRODUCTION ON CANVAS OF MY ORIGINAL FRIGG OIL PAINTING
Frigg is the queen of the Norse gods and the goddess of marriage, motherhood, and the home. She is known for being loving, protective, and wise. As the wife of Odin, she cares deeply for her family and is seen as a motherly figure who looks after both gods and people. She is often shown as a graceful woman with golden hair and a feathered cloak, showing her connection to the sky and the divine.
Frigg can also see the future, but she rarely speaks of what she knows. Instead, she chooses to act quietly and with care. One of the saddest parts of her story is when she loses her son Balder. This shows that even though she is powerful, she also feels deep sorrow and love.
People prayed to Frigg for guidance and protection in everyday life. She stands for loyalty, love, and the strength of family and community. Her story reminds us of how important it is to care for those we love.
