Ostara, Fertility – Classic Elegance
Germanic Goddess Ostara or Eostre heralds the beginning of spring (Easter is named after her) and as such, she represents fertility and renewal. She is celebrated during the spring equinox as the bringer of increased light and the balance between night time and daytime hours.
Ostara reminds us to look at our lives metaphorically in terms of activity and rest and the seasons in our life, reminding us that everything new must happen in its own time. An oak grows from an acorn, a baby takes 9 months to be born into the world, and the universe cannot be hurried when it creates its perfection for you.
Ostara is said to be the embodiment of the Goddess to look for when you seek to increase your fruitfulness, fertility or to help you embark on new ventures. .
