OlivosARTstudio offers a unique ART experience!
Since 2005, we have been offering a chance for children to experience real arts programming in our private studio. It has been a joy for us and the reason we suspend our own work to dedicate 2 months of the year to work full time with children in our shared studio space.
Parents and teachers unequivocally report that OlivosARTstudio is the place to come to for exciting projects, individual attention and genuine care for the growth and development of creativity and great memories of summer fun and art!
As artists we deeply enjoy sharing our time with all who join us in the studio! It is highly rewarding to hear time and time again about the impact our work has made in the hundreds of lives who have crossed our threshold since 2005.
Families report that our program helps enrich and change their children’s lives. They feel encouraged, triumphant, challenged and moved by the experience of art-making with us! We are humbled and thrilled to know this, which is why we continue to lay aside our own art work a few times a week to share our artistic vision with children and adults.
We offer a brilliant and exhilarating Summer Camp arts program!
No experience necessary. Children who love creating and exploring are in their element here. Every moment of our day is an adventure: whether it’s making art, going for nature walks, learning about different art movements or artists, thinking about how art influences our world, finding the “art” all around us and in everything we do!
Our groups are small. We focus on the Fine Arts. We learn and review basic drawing and painting skills while focusing on an art movement or artist from Classical or Modern Art.
On Friday participants host a “mini opening” for family members to showcase their art!
Each Session is different: campers may register for one or more sessions. Our studio focuses on the Fine Arts spending time on drawing, painting and some sculpture. Students complete either a painting or a sculpture by the end of the week, with various other projects as precursors to the final piece.
Our teaching style is encouraging and nurturing, yet challenging. We cater to the needs of each individual in our small group. Participants work in various media to build upon their skills in drawing, painting, color understanding, construction, and more.
The lives and works of classical, modern, and contemporary artists are reviewed, we go for nature walks in the neighborhood, relax on the hammocks during break and more!
***Please note that each week has a different theme and different projects***
